Lab/Colour Department Assistant
Fine Ceramic Transfers is looking to recruit a Lab/Colour Department Assistant for their site in Fenton, Stoke on Trent.
This is a full-time position 8.00am to 4.15pm Monday to Friday.
Attention to detail is a must, along with a full clean driving licence.
Salary meets the National Living Wage, however, is negotiable depending on experience.
The main purpose of the position.
Accurate weighing, mixing and triple rolling of all colours for proofs and bulk production.
Main Responsibilities
• To prepare consistent and accurate printing colours by weighing, mixing and triple rolling for proofs and bulk production.
• To be able to follow production schedules ensuring printers have jobs ready to print.
• Stock control and ordering of colours and mediums.
• Control and disposal of colour waste.
• To learn and assist Lab Manager in all areas.
The ideal candidate will possess good mathematical and organisational skills. They should be computer literate as stock control, printing schedules and colour recipes are online.
They will be able to work using their own initiative. Attention to detail is essential.
Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given.
